ITV confirms the return of Celebrity Big Brother for a new series in early 2024.

ITV has confirmed rumours that Celebrity Big Brother will return in 2024.

The broadcaster has successfully revived the civilian show this autumn on ITV2 and ITVX, with the final due to air this Friday.

Earlier this month it was reported that the celebrity spinoff will also be making a comeback, and now ITV has confirmed that it will air on main channel ITV1 in early 2024.

Nightly spinoff show Late & Live will be back on ITV2, while the nightly live feed will continue to play out on ITVX.

"The reception from our viewers to Big Brother's return has been fantastic," said Paul Mortimer, ITV's head of reality.

"We're therefore thrilled to announce that we'll be bringing our very own celebrity edition to ITV1 and ITVX next year. Casting is underway to find a new batch of famous faces who are sure to provide more iconic and unmissable BB moments."

Natalka Znak, of production firm Initial, added: "The launch series on ITV2 has been so much fun to make and we're glad Big Brother has found a whole new audience on ITV2. It's been a joy working with ITV and we're excited to do it all over again and this time with celebrities and on ITV1."

ITV has yet to confirm the series length or the launch date, although media reports have indicated that it has been earmarked for March 2024.
