Emmerdale actor Liam Fox reveals that he has been off work since November after catching coronavirus.

Emmerdale star Liam Fox has revealed that he has missed out on a main storyline this year due to coronavirus.

The actor, who has played Dan Spencer on the soap since 2011, contracted the deadly disease in January and although he made a full recovery, the time off work meant that a planned storyline for Dan was scrapped.

"I missed out on a storyline, so I haven't been in work since November," he told OK! magazine.

"But in fairness I'm one of those characters that's busy for short periods then used sparingly.

"I'm happy to fade into the background from time to time."

Dan was last seen in the village for a week of episodes in early April.

Emmerdale continues weeknights on ITV.
