Kalush Orchestra - winners of this year's Eurovision for Ukraine - will perform at Glastonbury on Friday, it is confirmed.

This year's Eurovision winners Kalush Orchestra have been confirmed for a performance at this year's Glastonbury Festival.

The Ukrainian folk-rap group triumphed at the event in Turin last month, beating the UK's Sam Ryder, who came in second.

The band have never performed in the UK before but will now take to Shangri-La's Truth Stage at Worthy Farm from 1.10am on Friday night / Saturday morning.

"We are so excited to be playing at Glastonbury Festival alongside some of the biggest names in music from around the world," said frontman Oleh Psiuk.

"This is the perfect place for our first ever British performance, and we hope it will be the start of many in the UK.

"We are very grateful for all the support we receive from the people of Britain, both for us and our country, and we are preparing a very special Ukrainian surprise for the fans at Glastonbury.

"What is it? You'll soon see. See you there."

Go_A, who represented Ukraine at Eurovision in 2021, will also be performing at Glastonbury, opening the John Peel Stage at 11.30am on Saturday.
