'Desperate Housewives' stars praise "genius" Felicity Huffman

The stars of Desperate Housewives pay tribute to Felicity Huffman, with Marcia Cross describing her as "a flipping genius".

The cast of Desperate Housewives have heaped praise on Felicity Huffman as they reunited over Zoom in an attempt to raise funds for the battle against coronavirus.

Marcia Cross, Eva Longoria, Brenda Strong and Dana Delany were among the show's stars to appear in the live reunion on Sunday, although Huffman and Teri Hatcher were both absent.

Huffman has kept a low profile after spending 10 days in jail last year for her part in a nationwide college admissions scandal, but her former co-stars were keen to pay tribute to her after working together for eight years on the drama.

"I just feel like Felicity Huffman is a flipping genius," said Cross. "She's just an unbelievable actress."

Longoria added: "We have such a strong connection. We've all created these amazing friendships outside the show that are lasting forever."

The group failed to do likewise for Hatcher, who was dogged by rumours that she failed to get along with the rest of the cast during her time on the show.
