Joe Wicks rejects Channel 4, BBC offers

Body coach Joe Wicks reveals that he has turned down offers to broadcast his daily PE lessons on TV.

Joe Wicks has admitted that he has turned down offers to air his daily PE workouts on TV.

The 33-year-old has become "the nation's PE teacher" during the coronavirus lockdown, live streaming free PE lessons every weekday morning on his YouTube channel.

Millions of people have tuned in to the daily classes, reportedly leading to Channel 4 and the BBC expressing interest in broadcasting them on TV instead.

"I have decided I want to stay on YouTube because I want it to have a global reach," Wicks told Radio 2.

"I don't want to be exclusive to one place. I have been blown away by the response."

Wicks has vowed to donate all the revenues generated by the PE lessons directly to the NHS.
