Joe Wicks to bring back PE lessons for England's second lockdowns

Joe Wicks announces that his free PE lessons will return next week as England enters a second lockdown.

Joe Wicks has announced that his series of free PE lessons will return as England goes back into coronavirus lockdown.

The 32-year-old gained a legion of followers during the first lockdown earlier this year by streaming free daily PE workouts through his YouTube channel, in the process raising hundreds of thousands for the NHS.

The sessions came to an end in July, however following the news that England will go back into lockdown on Thursday, Wicks has announced that he will release three new workouts a week starting next week.

"Guess who's back with 'Wake Up With Joe'," he told his Instagram followers.

"I promised if we wet back into a lockdown I would be here to help you get through it and I'm now committing to filming and sharing 3 new workouts a week until lockdown is over, however long that takes.

"This will not be LIVE workouts but pre-recorded short 15-minute energy and mood boosting workouts to help you stay fit and find some positivity, energy and help with your mental health.

"You can then choose to do the workouts at a time which suits you.

"I need this just as much as you. Our mental health is suffering but we can get through this lockdown together and come out stronger both physically and mentally."

The new sessions will be released on YouTube on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 6am.
