Watch: VH1 announces RuPaul's Drag Race coronavirus special

VH1 announces a special documentary explaining how the current season of RuPaul's Drag Race was produced during the coronavirus pandemic.

VH1 has announced plans to air a one-off documentary showing how the current season of RuPaul's Drag Race was made during the coronavirus pandemic.

The 13th season, which is halfway through its run, was filmed last August under strict health and safety conditions - enabling the show to premiere on time last month.

RuPaul's Drag Race: Corona Can't Keep A Good Queen Down will feature behind-the-scenes footage, unseen material and interviews with the season 13 queens - and promises to capture "the raw emotions surrounding the extraordinary experience".

The special episode will air in the US in Drag Race's usual slot on Friday, February 26, effectively serving as a mid-season break before the show returns a week later with the iconic Snatch Game episode.
