The BBC reportedly secures the services of Ardross Castle - home to The Traitors - until 2030.

The BBC has reportedly signed a long-term deal to continue using Ardross Castle in Scotland to film The Traitors.

The epic venue - located in the heart of the Scottish Highlands - is modelled on a 19th century estate and sits in 100 acres of parkland with stunning vistas.

The castle is an extremely popular venue for couples looking to get married, with many booking their big day years in advance.

According to The Sun, the BBC has therefore decided to secure options to film The Traitors there twice a year every year until 2030.

A source told the newspaper: "The ultimate nightmare would be if the producers tried to return to Ardross Castle after the Beeb commissioned more series only to find it was unavailable.

"That's a very real prospect as the Highlands pile is in huge demand for weddings, which have swelled in numbers since The Traitors became so popular.

"Without taking this bold measure, it was at risk of becoming a victim of its own success.

"Plus the show, which is often filmed in the depths of the night, can only be made at certain times of year due to long summer days in the north of Scotland.

"So they are restricted to making The Traitors in late spring or early autumn, which means they have even less flexibility."

The third series of the show is due to be filmed at Ardross at the start of May, while the first celebrity version will be recorded in September.
