Outgoing Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger reportedly turns down the chance to take over at PSG and instead wants to be in charge of the French national team.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has reportedly rejected an offer to take over at Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain.

PSG are expected to change managers this summer due to their early exit from the Champions League, despite Unai Emery being on the brink of guiding his side to a domestic treble.

The free-spending French outfit have long been credited with an interest in Wenger and are thought to have made the 68-year-old their number one target following his announcement that he will step down from his role at Arsenal after 22 years this summer.

However, the Daily Star reports that Wenger has turned down the chance to manage at the Parc des Princes and instead wants to take over as France's national team boss after the World Cup.

Wenger has been offered the role of France manager on a number of occasions in the past, and is reportedly coming round to the idea of accepting the job should Didier Deschamps leave after this summer's tournament in Russia.

PSG are now expected to target Thomas Tuchel as their new manager, although Wenger has previously suggested that he would be interested in a top European club and that he will make no decision over his future until at least a month after the end of the season.
