Ryan Gravenberch has said that he is "satisfied" with his first season at Liverpool and hopes to stay at the club "for years to come".

After one frustrating season at Bayern Munich, where he struggled for regular game time, Gravenberch joined Liverpool last summer for a reported £34m.

The 22-year-old made a bright start to his Anfield career and forced his way into Jurgen Klopp's first team, before an injury picked up in the EFL Cup final hindered his progress during the second half of the campaign.

Nevertheless, Gravenberch made a total of 38 appearances, including 21 starts, for the Reds across all competitions, contributing with four goals and two assists from midfield.

Borussia Dortmund are reportedly weighing up whether to make a summer move for Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood.

The Bundesliga outfit are currently preparing for Saturday's Champions League final clash against Real Madrid, a fixture that is likely to see Red Devils loanee Jadon Sancho feature in some capacity.

Sancho has made a positive impact at BVB since returning to the club on a temporary basis from Man United, where he fell out of favour following a bust-up with manager Erik ten Hag earlier in the season.

The 24-year-old, who has been tipped to make a permanent move to Dortmund this summer, has chipped in with two goals and three assists in 20 appearances for the club during the second half of the season and was a standout performer in the Champions League semi-final triumph over Paris Saint-Germain earlier this month.

Chelsea have reportedly moved to extend the contract of one of their highly-rated young attackers.

The Blues are currently progressing well in their efforts to secure the services of Leicester City head coach Enzo Maresca on a long-term contract.

However, the club's recruitment team are going through the process of assessing what they wish to do with the array of talent that they have at their disposal.

With the restrictions that come with FIFA's loan regulations, Chelsea are only able to facilitate six such loans to foreign clubs, forcing their hand in numerous situations.

Tottenham Hotspur have announced that Timo Werner will stay at the club on loan from RB Leipzig for the 2024-25 season.

The former Chelsea attacker started 11 of his 14 appearances for Spurs across the Premier League and FA Cup, contributing with two goals and three assists.

Werner fell out of favour at Leipzig which led to his decision to leave the Bundesliga and join Spurs in search of regular game time in a bid to boost his chances of representing Germany at Euro 2024.

The 30-year-old made the switch to Kenilworth Road on a free transfer during the summer of 2023, looking to reignite his career following a difficult couple of seasons.

During the 2022-23 campaign, Barkley played on 28 occasions across all competitions for Nice, however the midfielder's future was not in French football.

Handed another shot at Premier League success by Luton, the former England international stepped up to the plate, netting five goals and providing four assists in 32 league appearances.

The 22-year-old rose through the rank of Dutch club PEC Zwolle, before completing a move to Liverpool in the summer of 2019.

Five years on, Van den Berg has made just four first-team appearances for the Reds, having spent time out on loan at Preston North End, Schalke 04 and Mainz 05.

The centre-back recently enjoyed an impressive loan spell with Mainz 05, featuring in 33 of the club's 34 Bundesliga matches during the 2023-24 campaign.

Manchester United have seemingly suffered a blow in their pursuit of a Premier League striker this summer.

A number of incomings and outgoings are expected at Old Trafford ahead of the 2024-25 campaign following the arrival of minority shareholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

The addition of a new centre-forward is thought to be high on the Red Devils' agenda, regardless as to whether manager Erik ten Hag stays or leaves the club this summer.

Rasmus Hojlund ended his debut campaign at Old Trafford with 16 goals in 43 appearances across all competitions, including 10 strikes in 30 Premier League outings.

Liverpool, Chelsea handed boost in pursuit of 22-year-old attacker?

    © Reuters

Liverpool and Chelsea are reportedly among the clubs that have been handed a boost in their pursuit of a 22-year-old attacker this summer.

A number of changes are set to be made to the squads of both clubs ahead of the 2024-25 season as they begin new eras under new head coaches.

While Liverpool have already announced that Arne Slot will succeed Jurgen Klopp in the Anfield hotseat, Chelsea are believed to be closing in on the appointment of Enzo Maresca following the departure of Mauricio Pochettino.

Reinforcement in attack could be on the cards for both the Reds and the Blues as they bid to improve on last season's third and sixth-placed Premier League finishes respectively, and one name is understood to have caught their eye heading into the summer transfer window.

Chelsea are reportedly among a number of Premier League clubs who are interested in Villarreal goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen.

The Blues are allegedly on the brink of acquiring the services of Enzo Maresca as their new head coach on a long-term deal.

However, Chelsea's recruitment team will oversee their transfer business in the summer window with the view of signing players suited to Maresca's style of play.

Reports have indicated that the Italian is eager to have a goalkeeper at his disposal who is strong with his feet, an attribute required to start Chelsea's attacks from the back.

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly reached a decision over how to handle the situation with Timo Werner.

During the January transfer window, Spurs successfully negotiated a loan deal for the RB Leipzig attacker, who was eager to earn regular football during the second half of the campaign in a bid to make Germany's Euro 2024 squad.

A thigh injury sustained during the back end of the season means that the former Chelsea man will miss out on representing his country.

However, he ended his time with Spurs having contributed two goals and three assists from his 13 appearances in the Premier League, 10 of which came from the starting lineup.

Manchester City's Phillips to be handed Premier League lifeline?

    © Reuters

Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips is reportedly attracting interest from another Premier League club.

Phillips arrived at the Etihad Stadium in a £42m deal with the hope of becoming a mainstay in Pep Guardiola's engine room.

Instead, the England international's career has nosedived at the Premier League champions, with just six starts having been made in all competitions.

A further 25 outings have come from the substitutes' bench, yet there is now little prospect of the 28-year-old ever representing City in the future.

Newcastle 'plotting £20m move for 21-year-old goalkeeper'

Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe applauds fans after the match on March 16, 2024
    © Reuters

Newcastle United are reportedly leaning towards making a big-money approach for a new goalkeeper in the summer transfer window.

The Magpies ended the season with a 4-2 victory over Brentford that they initially felt would earn the club a place in next season's Europa Conference League.

However, Manchester United's surprise win over Manchester City in the FA Cup final has left Eddie Howe's side without a spot on the continent.

As a result, the North-East outfit will miss out on extra revenue and a chance to win a competition where they would have been favourites.

Barcelona man 'to undergo Palace medical this week ahead of permanent move'

    © Reuters

A Barcelona defender is reportedly scheduled to undergo a medical at Crystal Palace this week ahead of completing a permanent transfer to Selhurst Park.

The Eagles have been flying high since the arrival of manager Oliver Glasner in the middle of February and they ended the 2023-24 season with a strong run of form to secure a top-10 finish in the Premier League.

Palace were sitting 16th in the standings and just five points above the relegation zone when Glasner replaced Roy Hodgson, but an impressive run of six victories and one draw in their final seven league matches helped them soar up to 10th spot, finishing 23 points above the bottom three.

The Eagles are now planning for the future and have already confirmed that Joel Ward, Jeffrey Schlupp and Will Hughes have all penned contract extensions, while James Tomkins and Jairo Riedewald will be leaving the club when their deals expire in June.

Manchester City have reportedly identified a potential new number one goalkeeper amid suggestions that Ederson could seek pastures new this summer.

The 30-year-old has made a total of 332 appearances for Man City across all competitions, keeping 155 clean sheets, and he has won 17 trophies during his seven-year spell at the club.

Ederson has won more Premier League titles than any other goalkeeper in the division's history, overtaking Peter Schmeichel, after celebrating his sixth triumph with Man City earlier this month.

Modric has earned legendary status during his 12-year stay at Los Blancos, contributing with 39 goals and 86 assists in 533 appearances as well as winning a total of 25 trophies - the joint-most of any player in the club's history.

La Dea are close to concluding one of the most productive campaigns in their history, headlined by winning the Europa League with victory over Bayer Leverkusen.

Gian Piero Gasperini's side can still finish in third position in the Serie A table with a win over Fiorentina in the rearranged game between the teams on Sunday.

However, at a time when the majority of teams around Europe have already switched their attention to the transfer market, Atalanta are required to do the same.

Manchester United are reportedly prepared to make an "enormous loss" on one of their most experienced players in the summer transfer window.

Since the arrival of minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe, United have been readying themselves for a period of transition ahead of 2024-25.

As it stands, it remains unclear whether Erik ten Hag will still be in the dugout, despite the famous 2-1 victory over Manchester City in the FA Cup final on Saturday.

Ratcliffe and the other members of the football operations hierarchy are said to be conducting an end-of-season review to decide whether or not to retain Ten Hag's services.
