Everton will reportedly terminate the contract of manager Sam Allardyce within the next 48 hours, with Marco Silva lined up as a replacement.

Everton have reportedly made the decision to part company with manager Sam Allardyce.

Allardyce has recorded 37 points from 25 games in the Premier League since his arrival at the club in November, but it appears that it will not be enough for the former England boss to keep his job.

According to The Mirror, the Toffees hierarchy and Allardyce will hold a meeting within the next 48 hours at which the 63-year-old is expected to be told that his contract will be terminated a year early.

Despite a respectable record at Goodison Park and the club finishing in eighth place in the standings, Allardyce has faced constant criticism from the club's supporters, especially during the final weeks of the season.

The report claims that Marco Silva - who was approached by Everton before the appointment of Allardyce and left Watford in January - is in line to be named as Allardyce's replacement.
