Queens Park Rangers will begin their new campaign in the Championship with a home clash against Sheffield Wednesday at Loftus Road on August 3.

The Championship fixtures for the 2013-14 have been released, with Reading, who were relegated from the Premier League last season, facing Ipswich Town on the opening day at the Madejski Stadium.

Wigan Athletic, who will have new manager Owen Coyle at the helm, will begin their campaign in the second tier of English football with a trip to Barnsley, but they will have to wait until August 20 for their first home fixture, which is a clash against Doncaster Rovers.

Newly-promoted Yeovil Town, who will experience their first season in the Championship, will have an opening encounter against Millwall, who will be led by new manager Steve Lomas.
