Manchester United are reportedly yet to make a decision on the future of Jose Mourinho, despite reports suggesting that the manager is on the verge of being sacked.

Manchester United have reportedly denied speculation that they are on the verge of parting company with Jose Mourinho.

United have endured their worst-ever start to a Premier League campaign that has seen them record just 10 points from seven matches, a period which has included defeats to Brighton & Hove Albion, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United.

Mourinho has also found himself involved in disagreements with the likes of Anthony Martial and Paul Pogba, while a number of players are said to be unhappy with the Portuguese's public criticism of members of his squad.

A report emerged on Friday night suggesting that the United board were planning to sack Mourinho over the weekend, but according to Sky Sports News, that is not the case.

The fresh claims indicate that the North-West giants are yet to make a decision on the future of the 55-year-old, with a two-week international break to follow the game with Newcastle United on Saturday evening.

United face fixtures with Chelsea and Juventus before the end of October.
