Manchester United are ready to table a take-it-or-leave-it offer of £80m for Borrusia Dortmund forward Jadon Sancho, according to a report.

Manchester United are not willing to pay Borussia Dortmund more than £80m for Jadon Sancho, according to a report.

The England international continues to be linked with a move to Old Trafford following a protracted transfer saga, but the financial implications of the coronavirus pandemic will force clubs to reassess their transfer strategies ahead of the summer window.

Dortmund were believed to have slapped a £100m price tag on Sancho's head and were reluctant to lower their asking price, but United are reportedly set to table a take-it-or-leave-it offer for the highly-coveted forward.

According to the Daily Star, United executive vice chairman Ed Woodward is refusing to shell out more than £80m for Sancho, but the Red Devils chief is optimistic that Dortmund will accept the offer.

The report claims that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to have Sancho training with the United squad next month in order to prepare for the 2020-21 Premier League campaign, although the Red Devils will want to ensure Champions League qualification before they step up their pursuit.

Fellow English youngster Jude Bellingham was also heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford, but the 17-year-old will follow in Sancho's footsteps as his transfer to Dortmund from Birmingham City was confirmed on Monday.
