Agent Jonathan Barnett confirms that Gareth Bale will be departing Real Madrid at the end of the season.

Agent Jonathan Barnett has confirmed that Gareth Bale will be leaving Real Madrid in the summer.

Despite featuring on the substitutes' bench in recent weeks, Bale has not made a first-team appearance since his late outing against Paris Saint-Germain on February 15.

With less than three months now remaining on his contract, it has long been expected that he will depart the Bernabeu at the end of 2021-22.

Speaking to Deportes Cuatro, Barnett has acknowledged that plan, saying: "Bale deserves a grand farewell from the club. And no, we have not yet decided on the future."

The 32-year-old is unlikely to make any decision until it is determined whether Wales will participate in the 2022 World Cup, which starts in November.

The Dragons are scheduled to host either Scotland or Ukraine in a final playoff in June.
