A move from Real Madrid to Major League Soccer later this year for Gareth Bale is all but ruled out by agent Jonathan Barnett.

Gareth Bale's agent Jonathan Barnett has rubbished claims that the Real Madrid forward is looking to join a Major League Soccer side.

The Wales international's Madrid future is looking increasingly bleak and he revealed earlier this month that he would consider a switch Stateside in the future.

David Beckham-owned club Inter Miami have been tipped to offer Bale a route out of the Bernabeu, but Barnett has all but ruled out a transfer this summer.

In a conversation with ESPN, the agent claimed that the recent speculation regarding a move to MLS is "rubbish".

Bale, who still has another two years to run on his Madrid contract, has also been touted as a target for Newcastle United and former club Tottenham Hotspur.
