Tottenham Hotspur offer Fernando Llorente a new one-year contract on reduced terms, according to a report.

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly offered Fernando Llorente a new one-year contract.

The 34-year-old is currently a free agent, having seen his previous deal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium expire.

Llorente was widely expected to seek pastures new ahead of the 2019-20 campaign, with a return to Spain said to be a possibility for the experienced centre-forward.

However, according to the Daily Mail, the striker could yet sign a fresh deal with Spurs, who have offered him a one-year contract on reduced terms.

Llorente has only managed two goals in 36 Premier League appearances for Mauricio Pochettino's side.

The former Athletic Bilbao youngster struck eight times in all competitions last term, however, and could once again provide back up for Harry Kane during the 2019-20 season.

As it stands, the seemingly unwanted Vincent Janssen - left out of the club's pre-season tour of Asia - is currently the London club's only alternative senior option to Kane in the centre-forward position.
