Bernie Ecclestone won't visit Michael Schumacher

Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone says that he will not visit seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher because he wants to remember him from prior to skiing accident.

Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone has revealed that he will not be visiting Michael Schumacher because he wants to "remember Michael as he was".

The seven-time world champion spent several months in a coma after suffering a head injury while skiing in France in 2013, and has spent the last year undergoing rehabilitation at his home in Switzerland.

The 84-year-old told magazine F1 Racing: "I don't want to see Michael like that. I remember Michael as he was. That is how I want to see Michael. If he comes back, that is how I want Michael to be."

The German's manager recently revealed that the 46-year-old is "making progress" in his recovery.
