The Jacksonville Jaguars have admitted that they are hopeful that they can secure a long-term agreement to play further regular season matches in London.
The Jaguars have played two matches at Wembley Stadium in recent years and are scheduled to play another match in the United Kingdom in the 2015 season in October.
However, the club are trying to secure a deal to play further matches in London over the course of the next few campaigns.
"There is no agreement, but discussions have been frequent and promising," Jaguars owner Shahid Khan's spokesman said in a statement.
"Shad and the Jaguars have been clear that the London agreement has been extremely successful and essential to the local revenue streams and long-term viability of the franchise in Jacksonville, and that an extension of the current agreement would be welcomed.
"That said, this is ultimately a decision that will be made by the NFL. The one thing that is certain is Shad's commitment to the Jaguars and Jacksonville is as strong as ever."
The Jaguars face the Buffalo Bills on October 25 at Wembley Stadium.
