Victor Cruz has said that he will try to convince Hakeem Nicks to sign a new contract with the New York Giants.
The wide receiver is heading into the final year of his current agreement with the NFC East side.
Cruz, who agreed a new five-year contract earlier this week, told the New York Daily News: "Oh yeah, I'm definitely going to put the pressure on him to come back and see if he wants to play with me for the long haul and see if we can do this together for a couple of years.
"We'll see how it goes. Hakeem's his own man. He's going to make his own decisions. But I'm definitely going to see if I can get him to stay with me for a couple of years."
Nicks missed three games with injury in 2012, recording 692 receiving yards and scoring three touchdowns.
