NBA roundup: Golden State Warriors, Atlanta Hawks clinch wins

Sports Mole rounds up all the action from Saturday's games in the NBA.

The Golden State Warriors dominated the second half to thrash the Houston Rockets at the Toyota Center, keeping the visitors at the top of the Western Conference in the NBA.

Just five points separated the teams at half time, but Golden State came out firing in the third quarter, outscoring Houston 38-21 as Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry both finished the game with 27 points.

A quick start helped the Atlanta Hawks set up a win over the Chicago Bulls to give the Eastern Conference leaders their 12th straight win.

Kyle Korver led the way for the Hawks, scoring a season-high seven three-pointers to move the visitors to a 33-8 record so far this season.

The Los Angeles Clippers needed a solid second-half spell to secure a win over the Sacramento Kings at the Sleep Train Arena.

The sides were tied at half time, but Blake Griffin scored 18 of his 30 points in the second half after Matt Barnes had led the scoring in the first half.

The Detroit Pistons eased to their 11th win in 13 games with a comfortable win over the Philadelphia 76ers.

The home side, who finished the game with six players making double figures, surged ahead early on, opening up a 10-point lead by the end of the first quarter.

The Memphis Grizzlies made it four wins in a row as they edged past the Portland Trail Blazers at FedExForum.

LaMarcus Aldridge tried to get Portland back into the game late on, but Beno Udrih made a basket inside the final 10 seconds to seal the win for the hosts.

The Charlotte Hornets dominated overtime to beat the Indiana Pacers after the sides finished level at the end of a closely-fought four quarters.

Gerald Henderson and Roy Hibbert kept the scores close for their respective teams, but Henderson made amends for missing a last-gasp shot with a run of points in overtime to seal the win.

A strong start to the second half set up the Washington Wizards' win over the Brooklyn Nets just a day after losing to the same opponents on their home court.

Nene led the scoring with 20 as Washington piled on the points in the third quarter, with a run of 10 unanswered points giving the Wizards the lead.

Andrew Wiggins scored a career-high 31 to lead the Minnesota Timberwolves to a win over the Denver Nuggets.

The first pick in last year's Draft made 11 of his 17 efforts from the floor to put Minnesota ahead before Robbie Hummel added a couple of late points to secure the win.

Results in full: Indiana Pacers 71-81 Charlotte Hornets, Philadelphia 76ers 89-107 Detroit Pistons, Atlanta Hawks 107-99 Chicago Bulls, Golden State Warriors 131-106 Houston Rockets, Washington Wizards 99-90 Brooklyn Nets, Portland Trail Blazers 98-102 Memphis Grizzlies, Minnesota Timberwolves 113-105 Denver Nuggets, Los Angeles Clippers 117-108 Sacramento Kings
