CJ McCollum assigned to D-League's Idaho Stampede

Portland Trail Blazers rookie guard CJ McCollum will join the team's Development League side, the Idaho Stampede, after overcoming a foot fracture.

The Portland Trail Blazers have assigned CJ McCollum to their Development League affiliate, the Idaho Stampede.

The Blazers picked the guard in the first round of this year's Draft, but he has been sidelined since fracturing his foot in training camp.

Now that he has been cleared to return, the 22-year-old will spend time with the D-League side, and could feature in their two games coming up this weekend.

McCollum underwent an ultrasound procedure to help his injury heal earlier this season.
