Alec Burks claimed that aggression helped him to a career-high 34 points as the Utah Jazz beat the Denver Nuggets on Monday night.
The Jazz managed to claim a 118-103 win despite being without Gordon Hayward, who missed his second game due to a hip strain, but Burks insists that he wasn't trying to replace his teammate at the Energy Solutions Arena.
"I didn't need to be anybody else, I just needed to be myself and be aggressive," Burks told reporters. "I was just trying to get to the rim and put some pressure on them.
"With more opportunity, I am a wiser player now."
Burks is averaging 12.2 points per game this season.
