Olympic super-heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has hinted that he will not turn professional until he has attempted to win the amateur world title once more.
The 23-year-old secured a gold medal on the final Sunday of the Olympics and had been expected to turn professional following the summer's events.
However, he has revealed that he is keen to avenge his defeat to Magomedrasul Majidov in the final of the 2011 World Championships.
"I was only one point away [in 2011], and last time I just went in there and cracked on with it. But now I understand what it would mean and where it would take me," he told Eurosport.
"I really want to get back in that ring. I've got a lot to prove. My next fight will be in December - if not December, definitely January. I'm looking to keep my name hot, and keep improving. I'm going into everything with meaning next year."
Joshua could turn professional following the 2016 Olympics in Brazil.
