Floyd Mayweather Jnr has hinted that his showdown fight with Manny Pacquiao could happen on May 5 next year.
The boxing world has been clamouring for a fight between the two, who are widely regarded as the best pound-for-pound fighters on the planet.
"I told [Pacquiao] May 5 is open. Now you know me, to all the fans - May 5 is the date. Sign the contract!" Mayweather told FightHype.com.
"I'm waiting. Now I can't be sitting waiting all day, now. You want a fight, let's make it happen."
The super-fight has been put on hold to date because of the American's requests that Pacquiao submit to extra drug testing, a demand the Filipino has ignored.
"I'm here. I'm waiting. What's going on? You said you are a clean athlete and you said you would take the tests and all that. Well let's do it."
Mayweather's trainer and uncle Roger said that if Pacquiao does not agree then Mayweather would most likely enter the ring with Argentinian Marcos Maidana.
