David Price to make Liverpool return

British heavyweight David Price will compete in Liverpool for the first time since July 2013 when he features at the Echo Arena on June 26.

British heavyweight David Price will make his first appearance in Liverpool for almost two years when he competes at the Echo Arena on June 26.

In 2013, Price suffered back-to-back defeats to American Tony Thompson in front of his home fans, leaving him to rebuild his career in Europe under Sauerland Promotions.

However, after recording four successive wins, Price will now make his long-awaited return on a card that will also feature Tony Bellew, Callum Smith and Rocky Fielding.

Bellew's opponent will be 39-year-old Czech Lubos Suda but promoter Eddie Hearn has revealed that he hopes to secure a world title fight with IBF cruiserweight champion Yoan Pablo Hernandez later in 2015.

Smith will attempt to win the vacant WBC silver super-middleweight title against Christopher Rebrasse, while Fielding goes up against American Brian Vera.
