Charlie Flynn 'might have a few drinks'

Scotland boxer Charlie Flynn says that he 'might have a few drinks' after winning a gold medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games.

Scotland boxer Charlie Flynn has revealed that he 'might have a few drinks' after winning a gold medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games.

Flynn beat Joe Fitzpatrick in the final of the lightweight category on Saturday to pick up the gold in front of 11,000 spectators in Glasgow.

"To be honest I am not a big drinker," Flynn responded when asked by Sports Mole how he would celebrate his victory.

"I don't drink at all, but I will maybe have a few with my dad. They will want a celebration because their nerves have been in some state."

Flynn was a big underdog in this summer's competition, but overcame likes of favourite Joe Cordina on his way to claiming gold.
