ECB chairman Colin Graves has said that work is currently being done for England to stage a day-night Test match.
Late last year, Australia hosted a five-day match with New Zealand to mark the first time that the longer form of the game had been held with an afternoon start and night conclusion, and Graves has acknowledged that the format will be used in England sooner rather than later.
Graves told BBC Sport: "You can't turn your back on it, it will happen. We just have to decide when it is going to happen. We're doing a lot of work on it and we'd love to see day-night cricket."
On Thursday, England got their summer schedule underway in the first of three Test matches with Sri Lanka.
