Mitchell Starc restricts India to 267-8 in Melbourne

Mitchell Starc claims a six-wicket haul at the MCG to restrict India to 267-8 in the second tri-series clash.

Rohit Sharma scored a century to help India post a total of 267-8 in the second tri-series clash against Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

The morning session was all about Mitchell Starc, though, after he managed to capture six wickets as the visitors slumped to 59-3, before Sharma took to the crease to take 138 runs off 139 balls - the highest score by an Indian at the MCG in an ODI.

The opener's innings came to an end when Glenn Maxwell caught him out for 138, while Starc rattled Bhuvneshwar Kumar's stumps in the following delivery.

Starc also found the edge off Shikhar Dhawan's bat through to Aaron Finch to dismiss the left-handed batsman for two off just four deliveries.

He also went on to capture the scalps of MS Dhoni (19) and Akshar Patel (0) in a double-wicket maiden to halt India's momentum, leaving Australia to chase down 268 to claim victory.
