Pakistan umpire Asad Rauf has been pulled from the ICC Champions Trophy amid reports that he is currently under investigation by Mumbai Police.

While the ICC have not alluded to the alleged probe, some reports have suggested that Rauf has been involved in a suspected spot-fixing case in the Indian Premier League.

A statement from ICC chief executive Dave Richardson said: "In the wake of reports that the Mumbai Police are conducting an investigation into Asad Rauf's activities, we feel that it is in Asad's best interests as well as those of the sport and the event itself, that he is withdrawn from participating in the ICC Champions Trophy."

The competition gets underway on June 6.
