Gerywn Price is through to the last 16 of the PDC World Championship after prevailing 4-3 in a thriller with Kim Huybrechts.
Despite making a fast start to the contest, Price was matched all the way by an inspired Huybrechts, who held a 2-1 lead in sets before keeping pace with the Welshman in an absorbing decider.
However, Huybrechts missed opportunities in several legs to seize the initiative and although he took the match to a last leg, Price held throw with a 15-dart leg with his opponent on 111.
The top seed will now face Dirk van Duijvenbode, who came from 3-0 down to see off the challenge of Ross Smith in the opening match of the afternoon session.
Michael Smith produced one of the performances of the tournament in seeing off William O'Connor by a 4-2 scoreline, while Raymond Smith advanced through to the fourth round with a 4-1 win over Florian Hempel.
Jonny Clayton made light work of Gabriel Clemens, with James Wade being handed a bye after Vincent van der Voort tested positive for coronavirus.
