Ed Sheeran, Liam Gallagher confirmed for Brit Awards
Ed Sheeran, Liam Gallagher and Doja Cat are among the first wave of performers confirmed for this year's Brit Awards.

The first wave of performers has been announced for this year's Brit Awards ahead of the ceremony next month.

Ed Sheeran, Liam Gallagher, Doja Cat, Holly Humberstone, Dave and Little Simz will all take to the stage on the night, with more acts to be announced in the coming weeks.

As usual the event is being staged at The O2 in London, where a full audience is expected as the UK opens up again following the coronavirus pandemic.

Mo Gilligan is taking over from Jack Whitehall as host, while this year's ceremony will also mark the first time that separate male and female awards have been ditched in favour of a gender-neutral 'Artist of the Year' award.

The Brit Awards will be held on Tuesday, February 8 and broadcast live on ITV.
