Curtis Pritchard tests positive for coronavirus

Curtis Pritchard tests positive for coronavirus, leading to filming being postponed on the new series of Celebs Go Dating.

Filming on the new series of Celebs Go Dating has reportedly been postponed after Curtis Pritchard tested positive for coronavirus.

The 24-year-old former Love Island star had isolated for two weeks prior to the show's planned start date but returned a positive test just as filming was due to get underway, according to The Sun.

For the first time the show is being filmed in a mansion, which will allow the celebrities and their potential dates to form a giant coronavirus-free bubble and interact freely with each other without having to maintain social distancing.

"It's just terrible luck for Curtis. He followed all the rules by the letter of the law, quarantined for two weeks and kept himself to himself," a source told the newspaper. "And he still managed to somehow pick up this virus.

"He is absolutely fine, has no symptoms and feels fit as a fiddle. But it's put the brakes on the whole show until he gets the all-clear and everyone else continues to test negative."

The development comes days after Curtis revealed that his grandmother has died at the age of 93, although that news is being kept from his brother AJ Pritchard while he participates on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!
