Thiago Silva backs Carlo Ancelotti for AC Milan return

Thiago Silva claims that there is a "good chance" Carlo Ancelotti will return to his former club AC Milan.

Thiago Silva has said that he expects Carlo Ancelotti to return to AC Milan following his dismissal as Real Madrid manager.

The Italian was sacked by the La Liga giants last week after just two years in charge of the club.

Filippo Inzaghi is the current boss at Milan, but he is widely expected to leave the club, with Ancelotti seen by many as the favourite to replace him.

"I believe that with the two people behind this club, [Adrian] Galliani and [Silvio] Berlusconi, there is a good chance that Ancelotti will return to AC Milan," Silva told Sky Sport Italia.

"A great club deserves a great coach and Ancelotti is a great coach. I am confident that a solution can be found."

Ancelotti guided Milan to two Champions League titles in his eight-year spell as manager.
