Ajax hand 30-year-old forward Dusan Tadic a new seven-year contract at the club which includes an agreement for him to take up a coaching role in 2023.

Thirty-year-old forward Dusan Tadic has put pen to paper on a new seven-year contract with Dutch giants Ajax.

The deal will see the former Southampton man continue his playing career for the next four years, with an agreement in place that he will then move into a coaching role at the club in 2023.

The Serbian international only arrived at the Johan Cruyff ArenA last summer, but he made a big impact in his opening campaign.

Tadic scored 38 goals from 56 appearances in all competitions for Ajax during the 2018-19 season, as well as picking up the award for the most assists in the Eredivisie.

The financial details of the contract and information about his future coaching position have not been disclosed.
