Aldershot Town have confirmed that Alex Rodman has left the club to join League Two rivals York City for a two-month loan spell.
Rodman has struggled for first-team football with the Shots so far this season and will link up with former manager Gary Mills at York in search of regular playing time.
Shots manager Dean Holdsworth has insisted that Rodman remains in his plans if he can find a consistent level of performance during his time at Kit-Kat Crescent.
He said: "Alex remains firmly in the plans for the future, he knows my feelings.
"He needs to get regular game time which will help him return to the form that we know that he is capable of."
Rodman was signed by Holdsworth in January 2011 and helped the club to a remarkable run to the fourth round of the League Cup last season.
