Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger: 'Alexis Sanchez should be fit for Manchester United'

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger says that he expects forward Alexis Sanchez to have shaken off a hamstring injury in time to face Manchester United on Saturday.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has claimed that Alexis Sanchez will be "alright" to face Manchester United on Saturday evening.

Sanchez netted in his side's 5-0 victory over Huddersfield Town on Wednesday night, but the Chilean attacker was forced off during the closing stages of the game at the Emirates Stadium.

However, despite concerns over a hamstring strain, Wenger has insisted that his star man should be available for the clash with their rivals, who sit just four points above the North London outfit in the Premier League table.

The Frenchman is quoted by The Mirror as saying: "Sanchez had a little hamstring problem - that's why I took him off but I think he will be alright."

Wenger has already revealed that striker Alexandre Lacazette will be absent from the weekend's squad due to a groin injury.
