Arsenal 'keen to secure summer deal for Julian Draxler'

Arsenal want to sign Paris Saint-Germain attacker Julian Draxler during this summer's transfer window, according to a report.

Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain attacker Julian Draxler.

The 26-year-old has only made 19 appearances for the French champions during the 2019-20 campaign.

Draxler struggled with a foot problem in the early stages of the season but has failed to command a regular spot in recent weeks, leading to suggestions that he could seek pastures new this summer.

According to Foot Mercato, Arsenal are 'very interested' in signing the Germany international, but the attacker would have to be prepared to accept a pay cut at the Emirates Stadium.

The report claims that Draxler currently collects in the region of £120,000 a week in Paris - a figure that the Gunners would not be able to pay as they are likely to miss out on Champions League football once again.

The German, who has only made 11 Ligue 1 appearances this season, will see his current deal with Thomas Tuchel's side expire in the summer of 2021.
