Arsenal reportedly make a £20m bid to sign Danilo from Palmeiras, with the Gunners looking to strengthen their midfield before the transfer window shuts.

Arsenal have reportedly made a £20m offer to sign Danilo from Palmeiras.

With Thomas Partey and Mohamed Elneny currently sidelined with thigh and hamstring injuries respectively, Arsenal are looking to sign another midfielder before the transfer window shuts.

While the Gunners are believed to have made an enquiry for Paris Saint-Germain's Leandro Paredes, they are also interested in signing Danilo.

According to The Mirror, Arsenal have submitted a £20m bid to sign the 21-year-old from Palmeiras before Thursday's deadline.

However, the Brazilian club are set to reject the offer for a player who has scored 12 goals and provided nine assists in 128 appearances.

Danilo, who has won the Copa Libertadores in 2020 and 2021 with Palmeiras, has over four years remaining on his current contract.
