A report claims that Mesut Ozil's future will be reviewed at the end the season, with Arsenal ruling out the possibility of a January sale.

Arsenal have reportedly distanced themselves from the possibility of Mesut Ozil leaving the club this month and will wait until the end of the season before reviewing his future.

The German playmaker has started just three of the Gunners' past 12 matches through a mixture of illness, injury and tactical reasons on manager Unai Emery's behalf.

Emery's reluctance to use the 30-year-old in certain games sparked speculation that a move away from the Emirates Stadium could be a possibility in early 2019.

Ozil's agent reiterated earlier this week that the midfielder is committed to seeing out the remaining two years of his contract, though, and the London Evening Standard claims that Arsenal will not consider a January sale.

The report suggests that a decision on the former Real Madrid star's future will be made in the summer, with Ozil's £350,000-a-week wages and his lack of playing time proving to be a problem behind the scenes.
