Serie A giants Juventus are reportedly closing in on the signing of Sassuolo midfielder Manuel Locatelli.
The 23-year-old, who was a standout performer for Italy at Euro 2020, has been heavily linked with a move away from the Neroverdi, with both Arsenal and Juve believed to be leading the race for his signature.
According to Goal, Locatelli favours a move to Juventus and the Bianconeri are hopeful that a deal can be agreed on Friday.
The report states that Sassuolo representatives are expected in Turin on that day to discuss terms with Juve and if talks go well then the transfer could be confirmed on the same day.
Head coach Massimiliano Allegri is keen for the transfer to be finalised as soon as possible, ahead of the start of the 2021-22 Serie A campaign.
Locatelli, who is valued at around £35m, made 34 league appearances for Sassuolo last season, scoring four goals and providing four assists.
