Arsenal forward Lucas Perez hands in transfer request?

Arsenal forward Lucas Perez reportedly hands in a transfer request in order to try to push through an exit from the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal forward Lucas Perez has reportedly handed in a formal transfer request at the Premier League side.

Last summer, Perez arrived at the Emirates Stadium for over £17m but he was given just two starts in the top flight during the season.

It has led to the 28-year-old becoming increasingly keen to leave the North Londoners and according to Goal.com, he has put his desire to make an exit in writing.

On Thursday, manager Arsene Wenger revealed that the Spaniard would be allowed to leave before the end of the transfer window should the club receive a suitable offer for his signature.

Representative Rodrigo Fernandez Lovelle has claimed that clubs in Spain, Germany and Turkey all hold an interest in Perez ahead of the remaining weeks of the transfer window.

Newcastle United are also said to be an admirers, but they are currently unwilling to meet the player's asking price of £13.4m.
