Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is not expecting any more summer signings at the Emirates Stadium before the transfer window slams shut at 11pm on Friday.

Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta has confirmed that the Gunners are not expecting any more incomings on deadline day.

Four new players have already touched down at the Emirates this season, with Declan Rice, Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber joining permanently, although the latter is at risk of missing the whole season with an ACL injury.

Meanwhile, Brentford allowed David Raya to join on a season-long loan with a £27m option to buy next year, which is expected to be triggered by the Gunners.

Following Timber's devastating injury, Arsenal have been tipped to re-enter the market for another defender, especially with Kieran Tierney and Nuno Tavares joining Real Sociedad and Nottingham Forest on loan respectively.

Joao Cancelo, Mohamed Simakan and Eric Garcia were touted as possible targets, and Arteta was unsurprisingly pressed on transfers in Friday's press conference ahead of the visit of Manchester United on Sunday.

However, Arteta quickly ruled out the prospect of any more players joining his quartet of arrivals, telling the press: "There is nobody else coming in, that's what I expect."

The Gunners could still try to offload more players ahead of the deadline, with Nicolas Pepe, Cedric Soares, Albert Sambi Lokonga and Rob Holding all on the chopping block.
