Jordan Veretout 'seeking Aston Villa exit'

Jordan Veretout reportedly speaks to clubs in Spain, Italy and England as he seeks to leave Aston Villa.

Aston Villa midfielder Jordan Veretout is reportedly looking to leave the Championship club before the start of the season.

The former France Under-21 international joined the West Midlands club last summer from Nantes, but was unable to stop the Villans dropping into English football's second tier.

However, L'Equipe claims that the 23-year-old is intent on leaving Villa Park and has been in contact with clubs from Spain, Italy and England.

Earlier this week, the Birmingham Mail reported that Veretout was seeking immediate talks with new manager Roberto Di Matteo over his future at the club.

Veretout made 25 appearances for Villa last season.
