Atletico Madrid defender Filipe Luis: "Red card was totally unfair"

Atletico Madrid defender Filipe Luis hints at Barcelona favouritism following his team's 2-1 defeat in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final.

Atletico Madrid defender Filipe Luis has claimed that teams have to "play against everyone and everything" when facing Barcelona in the Champions League.

Luis was part of the Atletico team that lost 2-1 at Camp Nou in the first leg of their quarter-final on Tuesday night.

The visitors were forced to play the whole second period with ten men after Fernando Torres received his marching orders in the 35th minute, but Luis has said that the sending-off was "totally unfair".

"It could be a lot worse, but a lot better as well. The red card was totally unfair, but it is not easy to play against Barcelona in the Champions League. We knew we had to play against everyone and everything. It is possible in the second leg, but it is really difficult," Luis told BT Sport.

Barcelona have now won their last seven games against Atletico in all competitions.
