Enrique Cerezo: 'Antoine Griezmann could stay for decade'

Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo claims that in-demand attacker Antoine Griezmann could remain with the Spanish side "for another 10 years".

Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has said that Antoine Griezmann could remain with the Spanish outfit "for another 10 years".

The Frenchman joined Atletico in the summer of 2014 off the back of their La Liga success and scored 25 times in 54 appearances during his first season in the Spanish capital.

The 24-year-old's form led to talk that a number of clubs, including Chelsea, wanted to sign the attacker, but Atletico managed to resist the interest in the summer transfer window.

With speculation expected to grow ahead of the January window, Cerezo has sent out a strong message to those interested.

"I reckon he'll be here for another 10 years," Cerezo told Radio Marca when questioned on Griezmann's future in Madrid.

The former Real Sociedad midfielder has scored seven times in 16 appeareances for Atletico this season.
