Barcelona are reportedly ready to make an approach for Mallorca forward Ante Budimir as they look to find a replacement for the injured Luis Suarez.

Barcelona have reportedly identified Mallorca forward Ante Budimir as a potential signing in the coming days.

Having been provided with special dispensation to sign a replacement for the injured Luis Suarez, Barcelona have been linked with a wide range of frontmen.

According to The Mirror, Budimir has emerged as a possible addition due to having a £12m release clause in his contract.

The fee involved will appeal to the Catalan giants, who have previously shunned the opportunity to sign Real Sociedad's Willian Jose for more money.

Budimir has enjoyed a solid campaign in La Liga, contributing eight goals and one assist from 22 starts this season.

However, the report adds that the Croatian would only be regarded as a short-term option.
