Paris Saint-Germain reportedly remain confident that they will sign Barcelona star Neymar this summer, but a medical has not been arranged.

Paris Saint-Germain reportedly remain confident that they will sign Barcelona star Neymar in a world-record deal this summer.

On Monday, rumours circulated that the Brazilian had been booked in to undergo a medical in Qatar, but that is believed to be untrue.

According to Goal.com, the 25-year-old, who scored 20 goals in all competitions last season, will leave his promotional tour in Shanghai to resume training with Barcelona on Wednesday.

Despite Neymar's plans to return to the Spanish club, PSG reportedly remain encouraged that he will join the Ligue 1 outfit in what could be a record deal.

The two-time La Liga winner has a release clause of €222m (£198.7m) in his contract, and the French giants are ready to pay the sum.

Rumours of a possible transfer were fuelled last week when Neymar was filmed having an altercation with Barcelona teammate Nelson Semedo in training.
