Lincoln City boss Danny Cowley has reportedly emerged as a managerial target for Barnsley.
Earlier this week, Paul Heckingbottom left Barnsley to move to Yorkshire rivals Leeds United, and the Tykes must now look to bring in a replacement.
According to the Daily Mail, Cowley is being considered for the vacant role, although no approach has been made to the League Two outfit.
Cowley has worked wonders at Sincil Bank, with promotion being earned to the fourth tier of English football as well as the club enjoying a famous run to the FA Cup quarter-finals last season.
Earlier this week, Lincoln also reached the final of the Checkatrade Trophy after beating Chelsea Under-21s in a penalty shootout.
Cowley has suggested that he wants to fulfil his contract with Lincoln, which is due to expire in 2020.
