Robbie Kruse seeking January loan move from Bayer Leverkusen

Robbie Kruse says that he could leave Bayer Leverkusen on loan in the New Year.

Robbie Kruse has admitted that he is considering leaving Bayer Leverkusen on loan in January as he seeks regular first-team football.

The Australian international has made just four appearances for the Bundesliga club this season, having recovered from an ACL injury picked up at the beginning of 2014.

Kruse told FourFourTwo: "Obviously we're a very strong team in Germany and in Europe. In our Champions League group we're top of the group and we look like we'll going through on top.

"And then also in the league we're a top three team so it's been difficult. At the moment there's a lot of players in front of me who haven't been injured and who started the season excellently so it's going to be difficult but if I think I keep working hard I'll get my chance.

"I'll reassess in the winter – obviously I'll want to be playing. Hopefully after a good Asian Cup I'll have a few options. If it doesn't work at Leverkusen then I'll look to play somewhere else. If things don't change I'll look to go on loan."

Kruse joined Bayer from Fortuna Dusseldorf in 2013.
